New for 2015: the 4Moms Mamaroo Baby Bouncer does even MORE!
Updated 4/20/2017: Baby Bouncer Comparison Updated: The 2016 4Moms Mamaroo vs Nuna Leaf with Wind
The key to soothing a baby is motion, motion, motion: rocking, bouncing, swaying (or perhaps even driving). Each baby likes something a little different in terms of motion and speed, and sometimes they can be quite eccentric about it, like ThriftyNiftyMom’s daughter Zellene:
“Unlike my other two children, she has a thing for what I refer to as “leg-rocking”. When I’m seated, I lay her on her back across my upper legs and rock then side to side. This is by far her favorite way to be soothed and she generally quickly falls fast asleep.”
Most baby bouncers and rockers only move in one way – but what if it isn’t the motion your baby prefers? Luckily for Zellene and other kids who like a unique motion, the 4Moms Mamaroo Baby Bouncer has five different motion settings, all of which mimic real motions moms use to soothe their babes, and it has a “kangaroo” motion that’s a lot like leg-rocking. And luckily for you, the Mamaroo is back and better than ever!
The 2015 Mamaroo was introduced at the ABC Kids Expo last week, and it has some awesome new features to compliment all those cool motions:
- A brand new app lets you control your Mamaroo remotely from your phone: you can control the motions and speeds, and you can adjust the sound settings too! So if your baby is snoozing contentedly and you want to turn off the music, you don’t have to tiptoe up to the Mamaroo and risk waking her up – you can adjust it from across the room.
- We love the sleek, angular new look of the 2015 Mamaroo! It’s a cool and elegant refresh to a classic product.
- The LCD screen is bigger, so it’s easier to see the settings.
The 2015 Mamaroo Baby Bouncer still has all the other features that moms and babies adore: the plushy seat fabric is reversible and can be removed and machine-washed (and thank goodness, given the messes babies can make), the seat can be easily reclined for naptime or playtime, and dangling toy balls overhead keep babies entertained. And you can tell that this product was designed by moms, for moms (or, if you prefer, 4Moms): as ThriftyNiftyMommy notes,
“The last feature I’d like to mention is that the controls are all on the ground. That might seem like an odd place to you, but usually your hands are going to have a baby in them. I love that the controls are on the floor because it enables me to start (and stop) the seat using my toes.”
It’s so well thought-out!
The 2015 Mamaroo is expected to bounce onto our shelves early next year – probably January of 2015. We’ll start preorders as soon as we can, and in the meantime, sign up for updates on the 2015 4Moms Mamaroo Baby Bouncer here!
