Fit to be a parent
Finding time for exercise is particularly challenging for busy parents. There’s a big trend towards bringing along baby, with stroller exercise classes sprouting up all over the country. So I was psyched when I saw the new Strollometer, a very cool device that attaches to your stroller and tracks a variety of fitness-related data. Using magnets and wireless transmissions, it can tell you speed (current, maximum and average), trip distance, trip time, daily mileage, ambient temperature, and time. It’s a robust little device that encourages parents to go out with their strollers and get back in shape. For the record, we weren’t the only ones who noticed this product. It was the winner of a 2006 JPMA Innovation Award, too. This product will hit the market late this Spring, and we will have them as soon as they are available. In the meantime, you can visit their website, www.strollometer.com, for more information.
