Day 19: Lillebaby Nordic Carrier & Beaba Babycook Prize Pack

Norwegian “Småfolk” jarred baby food sounds totally yummy, and what adorable packaging! Although I’m not sure if I would have chosen to put the cute reindeer on a jar full of reindeer meat.

Congee, or rice porridge, is a traditional first food in China. Initially it’s served plain, and later on, other pureed items can be added in. Grownups eat variations on congee as well.

In India, Hindus honor a child’s first solid meal with a ceremony called Annaprashan. A mixture of boiled rice, milk, and sugar is blessed, and then fed to the baby by a senior family member. Then, the rest of the family takes turns feeding the baby her first meal.
