Baby Go Round

When it comes to encouraging a baby to partake in tummy time, anything goes. Most babies really hate being stuck on their bellies, but it’s really important to help them develop all the muscles they’ll need to sit and crawl. So there are dozens of good products on the market designed to make tummy time more palatable, and therefore more effective.

But the best new product I’ve seen is the Spin & Explore Gym from Lamaze. It’s basically a lazy susan for your baby. You lay your baby on the padded turntable and with minimal effort, she can spin herself around and interact with a variety of engaging activities. Once tummy time is a distant memory, remove the turntable and use the mat alone.
