It’s only used with a seat belt across your child’s pelvis and chest. Because of this, your child needs to reach the weight minimum AND have the emotional maturity to use the seat correctly: know to not unbuckle themselves, stay upright (no slouching), and have legs long enough to bend at the knee when they’re sitting in the seat. Once your child is ready, the Peg Perego Viaggio Shuttle Plus 120 Booster Seat has two stages: high back and backless.

High Back Booster Mode

Younger children will need the back to keep the seat belt (shoulder portion) guided across their chest at the correct height; and they’ll appreciate having the back and headrest for catching a nap. The Viaggio Shuttle Plus has the unique ability to fully accommodate a child’s growth with its 3D Total Adjust Technology. This means the booster can be adjusted in three different locations: 1) the headrest can adjust to five different positions vertically, 2) the upper backrest adjusts three positions vertically, 3) the side wings can expand out three positions. These adjustments can be made independently from each other, allowing for a truly original experience in comfort.

Backless Booster

If you want to, you may remove the back in a snap and use it as a backless booster. This stage still has the arm rests which also act as lap belt guides, but no side impact or head support. While this doesn’t offer as high a safety/comfort level, it is convenient for sudden car pooling and travel. Putting the back on the seat is quick enough that you can switch between modes anytime as needed!

The fabrics are removable for washing when needed. A recline mechanism will allow you to pull the bottom of the booster forward, across your vehicle seat, to make for a safe and easy nap on the road. The rigid latches lengthen as needed for a quick *snap* installation and can tuck back into the base, allowing for an easy installation if latch is not available.
