The Naturpedic Breathable 2-Stage Crib Mattress is mostly made of two materials: certified organic cotton and non-GMO sugar cane! The non-GMO sugar cane is natural and free of anything harmful; it’s turned into a safe high performance synthetic fiber used throughout the mattresses body and batting for a supportive and completely cozy night's sleep!

Mattress Body

The body of the Naturpedic Breathable 2-Stage Crib Mattress uses stiff sugar cane fibers in a wave structure to create the firm support core needed for a safe sleep surface. Layers of USDA certified organic cotton and fill create the 2-dual firmness sides.

Non-toxic waterproofing

The Naturpedic Breathable 2-Stage Crib Mattress uses an easy-to-clean organic cotton fabric with a patented LDPE waterproof coating so pure it actually meets food contact standards (also made from non-GMO sugarcane without any glues or adhesives)! The edges are heat sealed to protect the inside from urine, spit-up, and other fluids.

Breathability

A removable organic cotton cover is the final layer of this excellent mattress. This cover creates a 3-dimensional breathable layer that circulates oxygen to and around your little one. This unique cover creates a breathable space under the baby which improves temperature regulation and allows the baby to breathe directly through the cover if necessary. The cover also features a waterproof backing. For the easiest middle-of-the-night cleanup, simply remove your crib sheet and this breathable layer. Place baby right back onto the Naturpedic Breathable 2-Stage Crib Mattress’ heat sealed waterproof surface. Putting another sheet on is up to you!
