Hockey Player Stick & Ball Set

Considering that hockey is a sport that’s famous for on-the-ice fights, it’s no surprise that the first recorded historical use of the word (circa 1363 in England) outlawed the game:

“[M]oreover we ordain that you prohibit under penalty of imprisonment all and sundry from such stone, wood and iron throwing; handball, football, or hockey; coursing and cock-fighting, or other such idle games.”

Here at Magic Beans, we highly encourage all kinds of idle games, since they’re great exercise and loads of fun, but of course, kids need to play in a way that’s appropriate for their size and age. Each of the sticks in the Hockey Player Stick and Ball Set has a pre-curved Shot Zone textured blade, designed to let more skilled players execute totally cool wrist shots. The hockey sticks are built kid-tough, because we know that kids get excited when they’re playing sports! And because a small ball inevitably gets lost, Franklin Sports was kid-savvy enough to include not one but two soft EVA foam 2” mini hockey balls, so when one disappears under the sofa or into the bushes, the fun doesn’t have to end.
