Cybex’s German-engineering finally reaches American shores. The fabled and much loved European version of the Sirona S has been tweaked in order to bring it to the US market. Packed with tons of features that are entirely unique on the US convertible car seat market, the Cybex Sirona S is poised to take the US car seat industry to a completely new level.

Safety

In the US there are currently no standards for stabilization of your car seat. In Canada they require an anti-rebound ar, and in Europe they require a load leg, both of which are still rar in the US. While there are some exceptions, neither of these features are particularly prevalent in the US convertible car Seat market. Cybex made the choice to include both of these features in the Sirona S. This serves to reduce upward and downward momentum by over 30%. The most frequent impacts we experience are forward and rear impacts, causing whiplash in the driver and passengers, so by reducing the momentum in those directions it keeps the seat and your child incredibly stable in the most common kinds of accidents.

The installation is also something to behold. Vehicle belt lock-offs have become the preferred method for installing convertible car seats in the US, and Cybex is no stranger to using lock offs. They were one of the first in the US to use a pressurized lock off for the Cybex Cloud Q, and this is no less impressive. While the middle seat is still the safest, Cybex also included their innovative L.S.P. system, which uses outer arms to stabilize the seat against either side door.
