This is not an alarm clock. In its truest function it’s a Sleep Assistant that helps draw your body and mind into the right stage that allows sleep to happen. It works by acting first as a light you keep on in the time leading to bed. There are multiple colors you can choose from, or you can keep it to the Hatch recommended yellow light that’s proven to lead to better sleep. Turn off your other lights at this time, the hatch Restore provides enough light to move around the room or read comfortably.

In the Wind Down phase, you can program it to turn the light off for you, play soft music or background noise, and even do one of the meditations programmed into the app. With some practice these steps will prepare your mind for sleep. Each step is completely customizable for duration, brightness, and volume so you can find your best results.

As morning approaches the Hatch Restore begins to mimic natural sunrise colors, starting dark, then red, and finally brighter shades of yellow and white. Hatch did their research and knows this gentle nudge is the calmest and most natural awakening making for a better start to your day. If you’re a deep sleeper and the light alone isn’t enough, add sound to your wake up settings as well!
