UPPAbaby Vista V2 2020 vs UPPAbaby Vista 2019 | Full Review | Stroller Comparison

One of the most popular strollers on the market is the UPPAbaby Vista due to its double capability, extra large basket size, standing fold, and chic look. Although the Vista has definitely been the big dog on the block and shows no sign of losing popularity, UPPAbaby has listened to customer feedback and continues to improve their best-sellers. The result is the new and improved Vista V2! We were so excited to hear that the long time favorite was getting a facelift and it is worth the hype!

One of the biggest benefits to the Vista is that it can accommodate two seats, or two bassinets, or even two car seats. This has not changed with the Vista V2: the V2 is still sold in the same configuration as the past Vistas and all of the accessories since 2015 are still compatible with the V2. (Please note that the V2 Rumbleseat, a.k.a the second seat, holds 35 lbs, while the Toddler Seat, a.k.a the seat that comes with your V2, holds 50 lbs).

Although the new V2 looks and works similar to the 2019 Vista, the details make all the difference. In order to make day-to-day use easier for parents, the old rethread harness on the seats have been replaced with a sliding height adjustment so you no longer have to unhook the harness from the seat and dig around under the seat fabric to find the next tab it attaches to. This also means no more twists and turns in the harness and a harness that always fits perfectly! The basket has a more tailored look with less excess fabric and a deeper opening to give you plenty of room for all the must-haves. They have also added a secondary mesh peek-a-boo window in the canopy, because we all know your baby is so cute that you want twice the opportunity to look at them!

Speaking of the canopy, gone is that floppy silver extendable sunshade panel! The unstructured, wrinkly pull-out shade has been replaced with a zipper-out third panel of canopy fabric. Now your entire canopy will be the same color and it won’t look like it could use some ironing.

Now that you get more of that beautiful canopy color, let’s talk about the new colors for 2020! New to the Vista V2 lineup we have Finn: a very nice teal with a seafoam accent on the bassinet and dark brown leather, Hazel: a two-tone olive with brown leather, Alice: a soft dusty pink, and Sierra: a sandy color with flecks of blue and green and black leather (this fabric is similar to a knit sneaker fabric - super trendy!). So far Finn and Hazel seem to be the favorites of our local families. Also, fun fact! Each color is named after an UPPAbaby employee’s child.

Although we all love that the Vista V2 looks great and is easy to use, the most important thing is how it functions and UPPAbaby has taken this to heart. Prompted by customer feedback, a softer secondary suspension spring has been added to make the ride smoother for the littlest passengers that didn’t get much relief from the old, more stiff suspension system. The wheels on the V2 are slightly softer than on the previous models which also contributes to a smoother ride for baby. The seat back is higher and the seat and footwell have been deepened to accommodate a larger child. Additionally, they updated the auto-locking mechanism so that instead of bending the plastic tab to unfold the stroller, it now hinges and returns back into place with a spring. This prevents a weak spot from forming over time. Overall, the Vista V2 provides a smoother ride and fewer frustrations for your family in addition to the cosmetic facelift it’s gotten, and we are loving the changes!
