Moms Going Out
Join Moms Going Out (including me!) at Healthy Habits Kitchen to learn how to build a better meal in minutes with Cristin Jones, a registered dietitian and the writer of the popular blog (Eat Like Me) on SELF Magazine’s website. Dinner, wine and a $10 coupon to be applied to meal kits purchased at the event are included with admission.
Healthy Habits Kitchen, 36 Washington St., Wellesley. At 7 p.m. Visit the website for the full schedule.
Saturday, November 20
Dog Sled Fun Run
If you like dogs, this outdoor event is for you. The Yankee Siberian Husky Club with the Boston Snow Dogs will present an educational exhibit on dog sledding in New England. You can visit with the dogs, but no rides are given.
Blue Hills Reservation, Houghton’s Pond main parking lot, 840 Hillside St., Milton. From 1-3 p.m. Visit the website for the full schedule.
Saturday & Sunday, November 20-21
Belmont World Film’s 8th Annual Family Festival
Bring your tiny film critics for a weekend of family fare. There will be two animated programs on Saturday that feature movies adapted from story books. On Sunday, a full-length animated science fiction thriller about an 11th grade math genius sounds intriguing.
Studio Cinema, 376 Trapelo Rd., Belmont. Visit the website for the full schedule.
Sunday, November 21
Full Moon Night Hike
The Garden in the Woods is the perfect place for a moonlight stroll. Occurring around the night of the “Beaver Moon,” guides will help you and your kids figure out which animals are still awake, what stars or planets are visible, and how to find your way around in the dark. Afterwards, enjoy hot cocoa and make a booklet of full-moon activities.
Garden in the Woods, 180 Hemenway Rd., Framingham (508-877-7630). At 6:30 p.m. Visit the website for the full schedule.
