UPPAbaby Cruz V2 2020 vs UPPAbaby Cruz 2019 | Stroller Comparison ( Ratings | Review )
Here at the Magic Beans offices, the water cooler gossip is centered on one question, and one question only: how does the UPPAbaby Cruz V2 2020 compare to the beloved UPPAbaby Cruz 2019? We’ve debated the topic back and forth, and now we’re ready to share our findings. Read on to join in on the conversation!
UPPABABY CRUZ V2 2020 VS. UPPABABY CRUZ 2019: DIFFERENCES IN FRAME AND SEATING
The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 2020 is, essentially, an updated version of the UPPAbaby Cruz 2019. It has a similar design and the same name, but there are a few improvements that make a world of difference between these two strollers. The first of these changes is in the frame of the Cruz V2, which can fold down into a more compact package than the Cruz 2019. That being said, the frame of the Cruz V2 is actually heavier than that of the Cruz 2019 by a pound or two; consider this when you think about moving your stroller in and out of the car!
The seating of the Cruz V2 is another category in which there have been some changes made. Instead of featuring a standard stroller seat, the Cruz V2 has a higher back, longer leg rest, and deeper footrest than the average stroller. This design makes the stroller extra comfortable for children of all shapes and sizes. This cozy stroller seat is made extra-secure by a five-point, no re-thread harness, as well as a UPF50+ protective zipper-extendable canopy.
UPPABABY CRUZ V2 2020 VS. UPPABABY CRUZ 2019: DIFFERENCES IN WHEELS AND ACCESSORIES
Another big difference between the Cruz V2 and the Cruz 2019 can be seen in each stroller’s wheels. The Cruz V2 features both dual-action suspension and rear suspension on its large wheels, making for a smoother stroll. The Cruz 2019, on the other hand, has four-wheel suspension and polyurethane wheels. What does all of this mean? Basically, the Cruz V2 has specialized suspension on its front wheels and its rear wheels while the Cruz 2019 has general suspension on all four of its wheels. Both do a good job to make the ride smoother, but the Cruz V2’s larger wheels and unique suspension take the cake this time.
When it comes to accessories, though, the Cruz V2 and the Cruz 2019 are pretty evenly matched. Both have a large underseat basket, and both are compatible with the UPPAbaby Infant SnugSeat, making each stroller newborn compatible. The Cruz V2 also has a few more color palette options than the Cruz 2019.
UPPABABY CRUZ V2 2020 VS. UPPABABY CRUZ 2019: WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILY?
What the question of “Which stroller is right for my family, the Cruz V2 or the Cruz 2019?” comes down to is, essentially, are you willing to wait for the Cruz V2? UPPAbaby predicts that the Cruz V2 will be available sometime in February 2020. This timeline might be a little late for those of you who are expecting your child to arrive before the year ends. In the meantime, the Cruz 2019 is a great option that’s been tried, tested, and loved.
