Stokke PramPack: a safer voyage for strollers

The first time we flew with a stroller, it came off the plane broken. I was in LA for a wedding, and I remember frantically canvassing the shops in Beverly Hills to find a replacement — and this was before babies were a must-have celebrity accessory.

The first time I flew with a double stroller, we nearly missed our connecting flight waiting for the stroller to be delivered to us after the first flight. It never came. It broke so badly they didn’t even want to show it to us; they thought it would be too upsetting.

The Stokke PramPack is a new, universal stroller travel bag that will put the kibosh on airline-induced stroller trauma. It fits 99% of single strollers, and even 30% of double strollers, including the new Bugaboo Donkey. The Stokke website has a comprehensive database of compatible strollers, along with photos and detailed instructions for the best way to pack each model into the bag.

The PramPack is at its best when you’re planning to check your stroller at the baggage counter, but it also rolls up like a big yoga mat. You can wear it over your shoulder, making it a reasonable prospect to carry through the airport if you’re planning to gate check. If your stroller is small, you can also use the PramPack to carry other soft things — like diapers!

The PramPack arrived in our warehouse last week, just in time for my sister and brother-in-law to get one to transport their new Donkey on a cross-country flight. They were very impressed with the quality and ease-of-use of the PramPack, and their stroller arrived in perfect condition. A trauma-free experience for all.

The PramPack retails for $199.99 and is available now at mbeans.com.
