Quinny Newsflash
Good news and bad news. The good news is that Dorel has made some nice improvements to the US version of the Zapp. They’ve adjusted some of the functional design and they’ve added (drumroll, please) a storage basket. The bad news is they’ve decided to increase the retail price to $239.99. From what I can understand, the price increase will go into effect as soon as the product arrives in the US. I imagine that any preorders taken at the 199.99 price point will be honored (I know that’s our plan), so if you’ve been thinking about buying one of these, (more good news here) a preorder may save you some money. Price increases are always a bummer, but I actually think the Zapp is still a very good value. I was expecting the price to be close to $250, and was very surprised when it was just $199.
Also, we received word that the Mico infant car seat will be compatible with the bugaboo and Stokke Xplory, so that’s even more good news. Chances are, if the Mico’s attachment system is the same as the European Maxi-Cosi system, many other stroller manufacturers will be able to get adaptors to market right away.
