Out with the old: Bugaboo Fox vs Bugaboo Buffalo Strollers!

If you haven’t already heard the latest Bugaboo buzz, their Fox Stroller will replace their beloved Buffalo. Though we were sad to see the Buffalo go, the gloom quickly turned to giddy when the Fox was rolled into our office. The Bugaboo Fox solves a lot of qualms that American consumers had over the Cameleon and Buffalo Strollers, and we’re excited to add it to our lineup. Here are the major differences between the Fox and its predecessor!

If you aren’t familiar with the Buffalo, it was Bugaboo’s premiere all-terrain stroller. It has 10″ front wheels and 12″ rear wheels with incredibly durable foam-filled tires. The Fox is equipped with the same tires and same rear wheel dimension, but the front wheels are 8.5 inches in diameter. It’s not a monumental difference, and you’ll be able to take the Fox wherever you took the Buffalo — through trails, snow, dirt, and the crummiest of sidewalks. The Fox will take it all with ease while your baby stays comfy! Speaking of your baby, the Bugaboo Fox and Buffalo have nearly the same weight limit. The Buffalo holds up to 50 pounds and the Fox holds up to 48.5.

Some feedback about the Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller that we get from customers is about the height of its seat. It’s a bit lower than some parents prefer, but they did love the higher seat on the Buffalo. The Fox is right in the middle. Its seat is lower than the Buffalo, but it’s higher than the Cameleon. You’ll find that it’s in a great spot and gives you plenty of opportunities to bond and interact with your little one.

Now let’s talk adapters. As of late, all Bugaboo Buffalo adapters and accessories work with the Fox! So the Fox is travel system ready and compatible with the same infant car seat brands as the Buffalo: Nuna, Maxi Cosi, Cybex, Chicco, and more. So, in short, the Fox gives you everything you loved about Bugaboo strollers, and nothing you didn’t.
