Nuna Mixx Stroller 2019: An Urban Legend

Nuna Mixx Stroller 2019: An Urban Legend

Nuna Mixx Stroller 2019 | Full Review!

When it comes to baby gear brands, Nuna does not offer your grandmother’s average stroller. With their innovative European roots, Nuna introduces a new standard for gear by demonstrating what it means to create pieces that can be branded as optimal and efficient. Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen, because the Nuna Mixx Stroller 2019 is here and ready to take our stroller lineup by storm!

Nuna has long been known to offer a wide range of rides, from the mid-size Tavo travel system to the single-to-double Demi Grow stroller.  Due to the immense popularity of their Pipa infant car seat and for convenience purposes, they always ensure maximum infant car seat compatibility in all of their stroller models. A Nuna signature is their Dream Drape, a fully extendable canopy that offers long and wide coverage for kiddo for instances such as nap time or on a particularly sunny afternoon of walking through the neighborhood.

The Dream Drape is known mostly for being paired on the Pipa, however Nuna has ensured the ideology of this drape was transferred on to their strollers through their large canopies. Nuna is also known for their extended belly bars, so kiddo can easily get out to walk or chill and ride.

A specific quality I especially like to highlight is the fold of the Mixx and how it can be carried, or in this case, rolled along when collapsed.  The frame simply collapses down on its own with the pull of the two black triggers near the handlebar. However, when it’s folded, the brake is off and the handlebar is pulled up, the Mixx can be rolled along in a similar fashion to that of a piece of luggage.  This makes walks to the car a breeze, especially if it’s close to nap time and the crib is calling!

The tricky part here may be differentiating between all of the Mixx models that have been introduced in the past few years. For some quick history, when Nuna released this stroller originally, it was branded as Mixx. This name was later changed to Mixx2, when Nuna released their second development of this stroller adding chrome design to the wheels and a leather handlebar.  Now, Nuna has rebranded the stroller back to the original name, Mixx but with some significant improvements.

The 2019 changes to the Nuna Mixx stroller were quite remarkable, including a new all-season seat, no-rethread harness, seat height and an extremely convenient secret pocket for storage.  The toddler seat now features an optional mesh back for those hot summer months and a bamboo insert that serves as a temperature regulator. The seat height has been increased slightly by 1.3 inches, so transferring baby in and out is a breeze.

As far as color options are concerned, this is one of my favorite aspects of this stroller. Nuna does a fantastic job in offering appealing, neutral color choices; for 2019, they are offering Granite (light grey with saddle brown handles), Caviar (black with saddle brown handles), and Birch (off-white canopy, grey inlay with saddle brown handles). These will be priced at $649.95, which is fantastic considering the stroller comes with the adapters needed to connect an infant car seat!

There is also Bleu (light cobalt blue with black handles) and Verona (charcoal canopy, black inlay with black handles) which are offered exclusively with a Pipa series infant seat, priced at $999.95.

Something is always recommend using specifically with the Mixx and Pipa series combination is the Ring Adapter, and in 2019 it’s included with your stroller! A ring adapter is the piece that connects the Pipa to the stroller and is effortlessly easy in doing so. You can drop the Pipa right in! There are other types of adapters called peg adapters, which require a lot more focus in order to reach the connection points. Baby may not always be willing to wait!

To wrap up, the 2019 Nuna Mixx has made some improvements that are definitely worthing checking out at your local Magic Beans store or online at mbeans.com!
