JPMA Innovation Awards at ABC Kids Show

We’re back in Las Vegas for our 6th ABC Kids Show. Earlier this summer, Eli and I were really thrilled when we got the email asking us to judge the annual JPMA Innovation Awards. We evaluate new baby gear every day for our customers, but recognition that we were qualified to do this on a larger level was exciting. Practically speaking, it meant that we would get a sneak peek at the most exciting new things that were going to be released at the show.

It turned out to be great fun. All 50 (or so) products were displayed together in a room, and we spent nearly three hours going through them, one by one. We scored each product on several different criteria, working independently. I loved having the chance to interact with the products in a quiet room with no salespeople, no crowds and no pressure to get to my next appointment.

The ten winning products will be announced at a press conference this morning, and as soon as we have the list, we will add it to this post.
