It sucks when your baby has a cold.

Literally. There’s a brand new nasal aspirator from Bebesounds that offers battery-powered suction. This product would be hysterically funny if it weren’t so downright innovative. There’s nothing more awful and frustrating than trying to pin down a writhing, miserable and congested baby to stick a rubber bulb up her nose and suck out its overflowing contents. If you haven’t been there, you’ll have to trust me that it’s a low point of early parenting. The hardest part is coordinating the essential squeeze and release of the aspirator while trying not to have a nervous breakdown from the hysterical screaming that inevitably starts as soon as your little patient realizes what you’re up to. This new aspirator won’t make your kid sit still, but it will make it a lot easier to get the job done quickly.
