Introducing the Bugaboo Ant Travel Stroller | Full Review
At Magic Beans we have a tendency to get, to say the least, very nerdy and very excited about baby gear. We are privileged to work alongside so many incredible leaders in the baby gear industry and Bugaboo ranks among our all time favorites. A brand whose name has long been synonymous with innovation and longevity, they are industry leaders in quality and take design and engineering to the next level when it comes to their assortment. 2019 has held a lot incredible new product launches from our friends at Bugaboo and we are absolutely thrilled (feels like an understatement) to welcome their very first travel centered stroller to our assortment – the Bugaboo Ant!
Weighing in at just 15.8lbs the Bugaboo Ant is their lightest stroller yet and the first travel stroller in our assortment to feature a reversible seat, allowing parents to position their child world or parent facing depending on the day or disposition. This feature is a huge step forward for strollers in this class, as parents were often limited to a strictly world facing orientation unless an infant car seat was in position atop a travel stroller. And speaking of infant car seats – the Ant will in fact be infant car seat compatible with maxi cosi car seat adapters on the horizon.
The Ant offers an incredibly compact fold – and airplane bin compatibility measuring in at just 20.6 x 14.9 x 9.1” once folded. Another incredibly cool features about the Ant is the pull-along trolley mode which allows parents to simply pull their Ant, once folded, in the same capacity in which one would tote their luggage behind them while navigating terminals or train stations. And though the Ant is small it is also mighty with an outstanding weight maximum of 50lbs! And while basket accessibility can often be lackluster when it comes to smaller travel strollers Bugaboo has made that a priority and created a basket that is easy to access even when the stroller is folded – another big step forward as with most strollers basket access is essentially nullified once a stroller is folded.
Like other Bugaboo products the Ant will be available with an aluminum or black frame and a number of different seat and canopy color combinations. Staying true to their standards the Ant will feature all-wheel suspension integrated into the frame for an incredibly smooth ride. Another huge plus with the Ant is it’s height adjustable handlebar allowing parents to choose from two different positions to fit their comfort. Factor all of this in and you get a first-of-it’s-kind travel option from people who we trust to always deliver a top of the line push and product. We cannot wait til you see it! The Ant will be available for purchase from your neighborhood Magic Beans store this summer and online at mbeans.com.
