Infant car seat wins for American Inventor
American Inventor, the new reality series produced by Simon Cowell for ABC, wrapped up this past week. Interestingly enough, the winning invention was an infant car seat. The Anecia Survival Capsule was invented by Janusz Liberkowski after his daughter Annette (nicknamed Anecia) was killed in a car accident. It is a spherical infant car seat that can be opened or closed to protect an infant from virtually any angle. While I am a reality-tv nut, I actually didn’t watch American Inventor, so I don’t know too many details about the seat. But evidently, Evenflo is planning to partner with Liberkowski to try to further develop his invention and bring it to market. We’ll keep an eye out for this one.
