Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat | Full Review

Full review of the Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat!

Trying to figure out where to start your gear search can be tough, especially if you are unsure about your stroller choice. However, Chicco makes this extremely easy with their infant car seat, the Chicco Keyfit 30. One of the lightest and most versatile car seats, the Chicco Keyfit 30 is both safe and easy to use while on the go.

With a weight of nine pounds, the Keyfit 30 holds your infant starting at a mere four pounds until they reach 30 pounds or 30 inches. As a petite woman, I find that the lighter infant seats are much easier to handle, whether it be moving in and out of the car, or placing the seat into a stroller. The infant car seat comes equipped with an infant insert, five point harness, and an easy-to-install base. If you need multiple bases for other cars, bases can be purchased for an additional $84.99.

The Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat’s base makes installation a breeze with its tethered LATCH and precision bubbles to ensure a tight and accurate install. To make things even more simple, the base has a centered pull to tighten and adjust the LATCH, which allows you to place the base on any back seat of the car. Another feature within the base is the flat and smooth underside that prevents any scratching or tearing of the car seats. With this base, there is no need to purchase a car seat protector!

The Chicco Keyfit 30 is compatible with a vast range of strollers including but not limited to:

If you’re unsure of which stroller to choose, Chicco has a Caddy which the Keyfit can be snapped right into. Composed of an ultra-light aluminium frame, the Caddy contains all the necessary features for a stroll. With a one handed fold and unfold, sizeable under basket and four-position handlebar, the Caddy is a perfect companion for your Keyfit 30 and until your little one outgrows their infant seat. The Keyfit Caddy truly simplifies the first year or so by allowing a quick and stress-free travel system.

Several customers have given me their feedback and thoughts on the Chicco Keyfit 30. They’re mostly impressed with its light weight and easy installation. If you too are drawn towards the Chicco’s light weight and ease of use as well as the simple and quick set up with the caddy, then the Keyfit 30 may be a great fit for you.
