Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller vs Nuna Mixx2 Stroller 2018

Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller vs Nuna Mixx2 Stroller 2018

Single Stroller Comparison: Bugaboo Cameleon vs Nuna Mixx2 2018

With 2018 fresh upon us, it’s the perfect time to look for a new stroller. Both Bugaboo and Nuna are Dutch inspired creations that produce luxurious and high quality single strollers. Below we will compare the Bugaboo Cameleon and the Nuna Mixx2, which are very similar single strollers with subtle differences. As of right now, both strollers will not feature any changes to their 2017 models.

Bugaboo’s Cameleon starts at $999 and does not disappoint. This versatile stroller can accommodate your infant from birth until 38 pounds and is compatible with infant car seats such as the Nuna Pipa, Cybex Cloud Q and Chicco Keyfit 30. The Cameleon is equipped with two fabric sets that form both the bassinet and stroller seat. Since they are both separate fabric sets, once your infant is no longer using the bassinet, the stroller seat is configured without leaving you with another piece of gear that is of no use. With a product weight of 21 pounds, the Cameleon allows for a sizable under storage basket and foam-filled tires with adjustable suspension. Though it has a light frame, the Cameleon stroller seat must be removed before folding the frame. However, a unique feature on the Cameleon is the ability to reverse the handle bar and utilize the larger back wheels in the front. This is great feature, especially in New England, because it makes strolling on snow and salt-covered sidewalks much easier.

At $599.95, the Nuna Mixx2 can transform into a complete Nuna travel system as it includes adapters to fit the Nuna Pipa, Nuna Pipa Lite, and Nuna Pipa Lite LX. Once your infant retires from the infant car seat, the Mixx2 stroller seat allows for a child up to 50 pounds! Similar to the Cameleon, the Mixx2 has all-terrain, foam-filled tires. These high-quality tires make your Mixx2 the perfect companion for walking bike trails or the beach. The Mixx2 does not come with a bassinet. However, the stroller seat has a flat recline and can be used from birth when reconfigured into bassinet mode. This stroller is great for on-the-go families because of its simple suitcase-style fold. The Mixx2 can fold with the seat on and can be pulled (instead of carried) once the wheels are unlocked! Other considerable features include an adjustable footrest, zip-up storage basket, and peek-a-boo window within the extendable UPF 50+ canopy.

Some significant differences between the two strollers include their weight limit, ease of fold, and infant car seat compatibility. Both strollers are versatile and easy to use on a variety of terrains. However, if you are not leaning towards one of the Nuna Pipa infant seats, the Bugaboo Cameleon allows for other car seats with the purchase of an adapter.
