Preparing for the birth of your first child is such an exciting time. This time also comes with an overwhelming amount of decisions to make. If you plan to quickly expand your family, purchasing a single-to-double stroller might prove to be a smart choice financially. So here are my top choices for single-to-double strollers: the Bugaboo Donkey2, Nuna Demi Grow, Silver Cross Wave, and UPPAbaby Vista 2018. When considering a single-to-double stroller, the first factor to consider is whether you’d like a side-by-side or tandem stroller. Side-by-side strollers feature two children directly next to each other, while tandem strollers are more like stadium seating.

The Bugaboo Donkey2

The Bugaboo Donkey2 is truly one of a kind, thanks to Bugaboo’s genius engineering. The Donkey2 transforms from a Mono configuration (one child) to a side-by-side Duo configuration (two children). Of the four strollers I’m comparing, the Nuna Demi Grow is the most the compact, but it interestingly has the highest weight limits. Each toddler seat holds 50lbs! In typical Nuna fashion, the Nuna Demi Grow is stunning and topped off with their famous DreamDrape. The DreamDrape gives baby full coverage and privacy as they nap. Straight out of the box, the Nuna Demi Grow can be used as a double stroller. The included toddler seat and car seat adapters can be used on the top or bottom positions of the stroller. This stroller is beautifully designed with a high seat that allows you to bond with baby and, when used as a double, keeps both children within arm’s reach.
