At the zoo
Find It caught my attention the first time I saw it in the midst of the crowded and overwhelming games section at Toy Fair in 2004. Basically, it’s a clear plastic tube packed with colored plastic chips, and an assortment of small objects to find floating inside the tube. The penny, whose unique density relative to the plastic chips usually keeps it firmly ensconced in the center of the tube, is the most difficult to spot.
I loved the concept for its uniqueness. It’s also extremely travel-friendly and equally fun for one or many players.
Their newest version, Find It at the Zoo is exactly what it sounds like. Instead of random everyday objects, the hidden pieces are 39 small plastic animals. Plus a penny, of course.
If you do manage to find the penny (I have yet to manage it), you can go to their website and verify your findings. If it checks out, they will list your name and the date of your discovery on their site.
