ABC Kids Expo 2016: new UPPAbaby Mesa with fire-retardant free fabrics!

We know that today’s parent is extra-conscious about the risks of toxic chemicals in the products that you buy, so we make an extra effort to stock items that are as safe and “green” as possible. This isn’t always easy, because there are always more studies unveiling new potential risks, and obviously we haven’t got a science lab here in our office to test products as they roll in. Nevertheless, we love it when our favorite manufacturers put in the extra effort to bring you products that are just a little better, and that’s why we’re so excited about the UPPAbaby Mesa Infant Car Seat 2017!

Debuting at this year’s ABC Kids Expo, the new Mesa will be available in one color theme that uses no chemical fire retardants, making it the first car seat on the market released without them! Of course, you don’t want a car seat that can easily catch on fire, so instead the new Mesa in Henry (blue marl) substitutes a naturally fire resistant wool blend. The UPPAbaby Mesa Infant Car Seat 2017 is also available in regular fabrics in Jake (black), Pascal (grey), and Taylor (indigo). The new seats will feature softer materials, improved tailored fabrics, and increased padding, and a new travel bag is coming out soon (sold separately).

The Mesa was rated the best infant car seat on the market by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 2015, and it’s loaded with amazing safety and convenience features, including seamless compatibility with the popular UPPAbaby Vista and UPPAbaby Cruz strollers.
