It's hard to believe that it's almost time for Toy Fair again. But sure enough, in just a couple of weeks, we'll be making our annual pilgrimage to New York City to walk the miles and miles of aisles at the Jacob Javitz Center. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for the best of the new toys that will make their debut in 2007.

So what are we searching for? We have a wish list, but we'd also really appreciate your input. We've put together a survey to help us make sure our toy selection is meeting your expectations. Please take a moment to fill it out -- it's very brief, we promise. In exchange, if you complete the survey before February 10th, you'll get a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $15 or more at Magic Beans, and you'll also be entered into a drawing to win a tote bag filled with Toy Fair samples.

We're also looking for suggestions from our younger customers. If you know a child with some great ideas for us, please stop by the store. We have a quick survey for kids, and upon completion, they'll be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Magic Beans.

This month, we launched Team Beans. This special initiative will raise money for charitable organizations through participation in athletic events. We are so proud to report that our first event, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, raised almost $10,000 for the National MS Society.

We hope this is the beginning of a great new tradition. We welcome ideas for future events or worthwhile organizations. Also we are actively recruiting runners of all experience levels for the Magic Beans Road Runners Club. Veteran runner Dara Kelly, of Peapod Fitness, will coach this group. Under her able leadership, we hope to continue running together for great causes. $20 joining fee includes personalized weekly coaching e-mails from Dara and a Team Beans t-shirt.
