After many months of anticipation, we are delighted to announce that the Orbit Infant System has arrived at last. We are now fully stocked and ready to begin shipping. Last week, we received a floor model, and we've had a chance to get acquainted with this unique new product. The verdict? It was worth the wait.

We are particularly impressed with the thought and engineering that was required to bring this stroller to production. It is so different from anything else on the market, but the considerations for ease of use, comfort and safety are all pitch perfect. The handling is wonderful and the built-in cupholders are a boon for thirsty parents. We were surprised by the height range of the adjustible handlebars, which telescope to NBA-player proportions.

We also weighed the system on our official scale, and we found that the stroller frame weighs just 16 lbs. The basket/bag adds an additional 2 lbs. The car seat is somewhat chunky at 12 lbs, but the flexible, ergonomic carrying handle is exceedingly comfortable. The Orbit is available in two colors, Mocha and Black, and additional bases are available as well.

A lot of people are wondering about the future product releases scheduled for the Orbit, including a toddler car seat and a stroller seat that will fit on the frame. Both of these are well on their way, and we hope to see samples at the upcoming ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas. The timelines are still not finalized, but we're told that the stroller seat will be released before the toddler car seat.
